so so lovely
I have been dreaming of this dress since the first day I came across it. So finally when it went on sale - I had to make it mine! The color is not as soft as the image but, the bright Limoncello shade is stunning and unique. I ordered a size 8, (36,29,40) I based the 8 off my larger measurement between bust and waist (since the skirt is full) and I'm glad I did. The bust is just a touch big but the waist is perfect.
It is a great quality and very well constructed. And I love the combination of differnet textures and fabrics.
Overall very excited about this dress and already have three events planned to wear it to, accessorized differently for each of course :)

Great dress despite the color
I got this dress to wear for my engagement portraits and I was surprised at the color as well. However, after spending so much money on it I decided to wear it despite this. It actually turned out great in pictures. I am a very tiny and this dress fit and flattered me pretty well. I only wish I was a little taller so the skit would have hit me above the knee instead of at the knee.

Horrified by my purchase
I bought this dress based on the gorgeous picture and trusting other reviews that said this was a little bright but really cute and am absolutely horrified by what just arrived in the mail. Let me preface this by saying I love Tracy Reese and I love so many things that come from the Urban Outfitters company, so I have a hard time believing that what arrived in the mail has any association with either of those brands.
First, when people say "brighter than pictured," they mean "fluorescent yellow with a slightly green tinge." The color is not even close to the nice, buttery yellow pictured.
Second, the slip underneath that looks like it should be satin or silk is actually cheap, thin, shiny polyester. I may be naive, but i do not expect to spend $375 on a dress, only to receive a slip that probably cost no more than $2 to produce.
Third, the lace feels extremely cheap and poorly woven. By the way, it's made of nylon - that's not what lace is supposed to be made out of.
Finally, the "belt" on the waist is made of a cheap cottony material that looks and feels more like what you would see on the waistband of a pair of shorts/on the strap of a gym bag/on a pair of shoelaces rather than on a dress you plan to wear to a formal event.
I have to reiterate: do not buy this dress! It is cheap, tacky and you can find MUCH better for $375.

curious about the true color
Does anyone have a picture of herself wearing this dress? I was reading in the reviews that the color of the dress is much brighter in real so I was wondering what it looks like. I really like the dress in the picture and I'm curious about other people wearing it. I hope someone can post a photo.

lovely, but bright
I bought this dress for my bridesmaid. It is simply lovely and true to size, but I agree with the other reviewer, it is much brighter than the picture indicates. not quite fluro, but certainly not the muted lemon pictured. otherwise, it is gorgeous.

Bright!!
Love the dress!But it's MUCH, MUCH brighter than shown in the photos. Closer to a neon yellow than the buttery color. The lace is goregous and the scalloped edge hem adds a delicate touch. Fit is a bit odd in the bust. The darts come to a point in an awkward spot. Also not crazy about the trim at the waist. The cotton makes the dress look a bit cheap. Satin or classic grosgrain might have been a better choice. Overall though, it looks very sweet on and I didn't find the pleating at the waist as voluminous as the other reviewer.

I love this dress.
Looked at it several times but wasn't sure if I really liked it. Decided to give it a try and fell in love with it when I tried it on.
My daughter is getting married in August and this will be my Mother-of-the-Bride dress.
I tried a full slip under it and its even more attractive. Since I'm 5' 2" the slip helped with the dresses length.
The fit is perfect and very true to size.
Now I'm looking at the sweater featured with this dress.
Looked at it several times but wasn't sure if I really liked it. Decided to give it a try and fell in love with it when I tried it on.

Beautiful Dress. Great Details.
I saw this dress online and thought it was amazing. Once I got it I fell in love with it. However being short and petite it was to much fabric and overwhelmed my body. I think it would be gorgeous on someone taller.
